Curbi
Terms of Service
Effective: 2026-10-10
On this page
1. Agreement, eligibility and accounts
These Terms govern the Curbi website, apps and platform services provided by Decodation LLC, registered in Idaho, United States (Curbi, we, us). Hosts offer spaces; drivers request and use them. One person may have both roles. The operator and support contact are identified below.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into the relevant contract to create an account, host or book. If you act for a business or property owner, you must have authority to act for that party. Keep your account information accurate, protect your credentials and report suspected unauthorized access.
When these Terms are presented for acceptance in a registration, hosting or booking flow, review them before agreeing. The applicable booking summary, disclosed listing restrictions and cancellation conditions form part of that transaction. The Privacy Policy explains personal-information handling; agreement to these Terms does not replace a separate consent required for optional AI, marketing or another data use.
2. Curbi is a platform, not the parking operator
Curbi provides software for discovery, listing, availability, reservations, communication and payment coordination. Independent hosts supply and control the parking space. A confirmed private-space booking creates the parking arrangement between that host and driver; Curbi supplies its own platform services and remains responsible for obligations that the law places on it.
Unless expressly identified otherwise for a particular service, Decodation LLC does not own or operate the listed parking space, take custody of a vehicle or its contents, provide valet service, insure a booking, or act as a towing or emergency service. Displaying a listing, helping with a payment, reviewing a report or facilitating a refund does not by itself make Curbi the property owner or parking operator.
Hosts and drivers are independent users, not Curbi employees or authorized representatives merely because they use the platform. Neither may make commitments on Curbi's behalf. Curbi's own responsibilities include providing its disclosed platform services and complying with the law applicable to its role.
3. Host responsibilities
A host must have the right to offer the specific private area and obtain required owner, landlord, association, permit or other permissions. The host is responsible for applicable property, parking, accessibility, zoning, electrical, tax and other requirements. Do not list public street parking, another person's property or shared property without the necessary authority.
Keep photos, marked areas, vehicle limits, clearance, access hours, availability, amenities, prices and instructions accurate. Disclose material hazards and limitations, including construction, restricted access, steep surfaces, animals or camera surveillance affecting the parking area. Do not expose a private gate code or exact private access information in public content.
Maintain the offered area and safe access, honor confirmed reservations and report a change that makes a reservation unusable. Do not block sidewalks, crossings, ramps, hydrants, emergency routes or neighboring property. Do not require an undisclosed charge or a side payment as a condition of honoring a confirmed Curbi booking.
Hosts are responsible for their tax reporting and any permits or insurance required for their activity, subject to obligations imposed directly on Curbi by law. Home or auto insurance may exclude commercial parking or EV charging; the host should confirm appropriate coverage with its insurer.
4. Driver responsibilities and the parking permission
Review the vehicle requirements, location, price, cancellation conditions and access instructions before booking. Use a legally operable vehicle with registration and insurance required by law. Check vehicle fit and actual conditions before entering; do not proceed if the space or charging equipment appears unsafe. Stop your vehicle safely before interacting with the app.
The host permits parking of the specified vehicle in the designated area for the confirmed interval only. A booking does not give access to a home, unrelated property, extra spaces or time beyond the confirmed interval. The intended arrangement is temporary parking permission, not a residential tenancy or vehicle-storage service; any classification or rights required by law take precedence.
Keep gates, sidewalks, other vehicles and emergency access clear, comply with lawful posted restrictions and leave by the confirmed end time. Keep possession of your vehicle and keys; Curbi does not accept custody. Any separate custodial service offered by a third party is that provider's service, subject to its disclosed terms.
5. Availability, confirmation, QR signs and extensions
Search results, a map pin, a quoted price, a QR sign and a pending request are not permission to park. Rely on the server-confirmed reservation, its status and recorded time. Exact private access information is restricted to authorized booking access; a public sign directs people to the listing and does not itself guarantee availability.
Private parking can be offered for up to seven days where enabled, further limited by the host and availability for the entire interval. Public-street information is informational, is evaluated for no more than 24 hours, and does not turn a public street into Curbi rental inventory. Host subscriptions are separate from parking duration.
An extension is effective only when the host's settings and full-interval availability allow it, the required payment succeeds and the server confirms the new end time. A request, payment attempt or unavailable extension does not change the original departure time. Hosts must not remove availability to avoid a confirmed reservation without addressing the affected booking through the applicable support and cancellation process.
TEST listings, simulations and test-mode payments do not reserve a real space or represent real-money payment. If a price hold expires, the original time is not guaranteed. After an interrupted payment, refresh the actual status before paying again.
6. Optional EV charging
EV charging is available only when expressly offered and selected, with its price and relevant limits disclosed before confirmation. An electric-vehicle profile or an EV symbol alone does not promise charging access, a compatible connector, a particular charging speed or a full battery.
The host is responsible for lawful authority, required approvals, safe and code-compliant installation, equipment maintenance and accurate electrical and connector information. The driver must use compatible equipment as instructed and stop use if damage, excessive heat or another unsafe condition is apparent. Curbi does not supervise the electrical installation or charging session and does not certify a charger through a listing review.
Report unavailable or misdescribed charging through the booking or support process. Payment and refund eligibility still depend on the actual service, booking state and applicable law.
7. Prices, payment processing and host payouts
Review the server-provided booking interval, currency, parking charge, selected EV charge, disclosed service fees and total before authorizing payment. Applicable taxes or other charges must be disclosed where required. Stripe processes parking payments and Stripe Connect supports host payouts. Apple Pay, Google Pay and card availability depend on the configured integration, device and payment account. TEST mode does not charge real money.
A payment authorization or bank receipt alone does not establish that a reservation is confirmed. Curbi coordinates the payment and records the transaction state; banks and providers control their own processing times, security checks and decisions. We remain responsible for payment duties that apply to our role and do not use a third-party disclaimer to remove statutory refund rights.
Hosts must complete the required provider onboarding. Available earnings can be reduced or held for disclosed platform charges, actual payment-provider costs, refunds, disputes, fraud checks or legally required review. Payouts depend on reconciled available earnings, applicable minimums and the disclosed payout process. A current balance is not guaranteed take-home income or Curbi Verified completed earnings.
Where Curbi credit or a wallet feature is offered, review the displayed funding, use and refund conditions before adding money. It is a payment-related feature, not a bank deposit or an interest-bearing savings account. Test credits do not represent withdrawable money. No deposit-insurance claim is made.
8. Cancellation, refunds, access problems and overstays
Use the reservation's cancellation controls or contact support. The booking summary and cancellation terms shown before confirmation, actual booking state and applicable consumer law determine eligibility. These Terms do not impose a blanket no-refunds rule. If a host cannot provide the confirmed area or charging service, document the issue safely and contact the host and support rather than entering a different area without permission.
Submitting a refund request does not mean that a refund is approved or complete. Provider and bank processing may take additional time. Active or completed parking, transferred host funds, partial service and disputes can require review. If payment arrives after the reservation hold expires, check the actual confirmation or refund state; do not assume the original interval is secured.
Remain only until the confirmed end time unless an extension is confirmed. An overstay may expose the driver to a host claim or lawful parking enforcement. Curbi does not create an automatic right to tow, seize a vehicle, impose an undisclosed penalty or bypass notice, signage or other legal requirements. A host and any towing operator must follow the law applicable to the property and removal.
Keep relevant receipts, booking references and factual evidence. Report problems promptly so they can be investigated; this request does not shorten a statutory claim period or make a lawful claim disappear if it is reported later.
9. Monthly host subscriptions
Host subscriptions are separate from parking payments and host bank payouts. Starter allows one total space. Monthly Host Plus, Host Pro and Host Business allow total capacity of three, ten and thirty spaces respectively. Store checkout supplies the applicable price, renewal and cancellation information.
Subscriptions renew unless cancelled under the store's terms. Manage or cancel Apple and Google subscriptions in the relevant store. Cancelling renewal normally preserves access through the paid period. A lower or expired plan can pause excess spaces for new bookings without invalidating existing confirmed reservations. Account deletion does not cancel store subscriptions.
10. Content, reviews and platform conduct
You retain ownership of your submitted content. You give Curbi a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, format and display it to the intended audience, operate the relevant feature, support a booking and investigate reports. This permission is limited to providing and protecting the service; it does not transfer ownership of your photos or authorize an unrelated sale of personal information.
Submit only content you have permission to use. Reviews must reflect a real experience and must not contain private access codes, unnecessary personal details or fabricated accusations. Illegal offers, threats, harassment, hate, exploitation, explicit sexual material, graphic violence, spam, fraud, impersonation and unauthorized property listings are prohibited. Do not bypass security controls, manipulate bookings, falsify verification or misuse another user's data.
Use Curbi's reporting controls or support to report a listing, message or review. Booking chat supports reporting and blocking; support remains available for reservation issues after a block. Curbi may investigate, remove content, restrict new activity or suspend an account proportionately for safety, fraud, legal or rule violations. A moderation action does not automatically cancel a booking or reverse a payment. Contact support for review of a moderation decision.
Curbi's software, branding and other Curbi-owned materials remain the property of Decodation LLC or its licensors. You receive permission to use the service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and any rights the law gives you. Send an intellectual-property complaint with sufficient identification and supporting information to the contact below.
11. Maps, external providers, AI and notifications
Maps, public parking data, street rules, estimated availability and navigation links can be incomplete or outdated. Observe current signs, lawful restrictions and actual conditions. An external provider's listing is not a Curbi-confirmed booking; a commercial reservation exists only through an active integration or the provider's own confirmation. Review the identified provider and its applicable terms before transacting.
Optional AI requires the applicable permission before information is sent to OpenAI. Regular search remains available without AI; listing review without AI can require manual review. AI output, marked photos and automated checks are assistance, not legal advice, proof of ownership, guaranteed measurements, safe vehicle fit or confirmed availability. The Privacy Policy explains the relevant data handling.
Push messages, countdowns and parking-expiry reminders are convenience features. Delivery can be delayed or prevented by device settings, connectivity or providers. Check the confirmed end time yourself; a missing reminder does not extend parking. Curbi does not treat a phone number or receipt of a service notification as consent to unrelated promotional messages.
Third-party services have their own terms, privacy duties and processing decisions. Curbi cannot control an independent provider's operation, but remains responsible for duties the law assigns to Curbi in selecting, using or representing that service.
Your use of Google Maps and Places features is also subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, linked below and incorporated by reference for those features.
12. Parking risks, verification and insurance
Parking and entering private property can involve collision, theft, vandalism, weather damage, injury, access disputes, citations, towing or equipment failure. Hosts and drivers should assess the actual circumstances, protect valuables and maintain any required insurance. This disclosure does not transfer responsibility for Curbi's own unlawful conduct to a user.
A listing review, identity or property check, rating, photograph or Curbi Verified badge describes a limited platform process, not an inspection of every condition or a guarantee of ownership, permissions, insurance, electrical safety or trustworthy conduct. Serious reports may restrict trust status or new bookings while reviewed.
Curbi does not provide parking insurance, a damage-protection policy, a guarantee against theft or towing, or emergency assistance through an ordinary booking. A separate protection product, if introduced, would require explicit provider identification and its own disclosed coverage and exclusions. Contact local emergency services for immediate danger; do not wait for app support.
13. Service warranties and availability
To the extent applicable law allows, Curbi provides the platform in its available condition without additional promises of uninterrupted operation, error-free information, suitability for a particular purpose or a particular financial result. We do not promise that every host will perform, every space will be safe or every search will result in a booking.
This limitation concerns additional contractual warranties. It does not remove an express commitment in a confirmed transaction, a non-waivable statutory warranty, our duty to take legally required care, or another remedy that applicable law requires. Mandatory rights prevail over inconsistent wording anywhere in these Terms.
14. Limits of liability and important exceptions
Subject to the exceptions below and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, Decodation LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost business opportunities or lost profits arising from the platform. Direct liability for a proven claim against Decodation LLC relating to its platform services is limited in the aggregate to the greater of US $100 or the Curbi platform service fees paid by you during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Host parking charges collected for the host, taxes and amounts held for payment or payout are not treated as Curbi platform service fees.
These exclusions and the cap do not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, injury or death where liability cannot lawfully be restricted, a violation of law for which liability cannot be waived, or other non-waivable rights and remedies. They do not excuse Curbi's privacy, security or consumer-protection obligations. They do not limit a refund, return of your money or host payout that Curbi is legally required to provide.
To the same lawful extent, these platform limitations also protect Decodation LLC's members, officers, employees and authorized agents acting within their platform roles; they do not give anyone immunity for their own fraud, willful misconduct or other liability the law forbids limiting. Independent hosts and drivers remain responsible for their own obligations and conduct.
If a limitation is prohibited or unenforceable in your circumstances, it applies only to the lawful extent, and your mandatory remedies remain available. Nothing in these Terms promises that Curbi or an individual can never be sued or found responsible.
15. Responsibility for third-party claims
To the extent allowed by law, a user must reimburse Decodation LLC for a third-party claim and reasonable, documented defense costs to the extent caused by that user's unlawful listing, infringement of another person's rights, material breach of these Terms, fraud or intentional misconduct. Responsibility is limited to that user's contribution to the claim; it does not cover loss caused by Curbi's own breach, negligence or unlawful conduct, or a right that applicable law prevents us from transferring.
Curbi will give reasonably prompt notice of a claim for which it seeks reimbursement and a fair opportunity to participate in the defense. A settlement imposing an admission, non-monetary duty or unreimbursed payment on a user requires that user's consent, which must not be unreasonably withheld. This provision is not a waiver of the user's own consumer claim against Curbi.
16. Questions, complaints and legal remedies
For a booking, payment, privacy or safety issue, contact the host where appropriate and the Curbi support contact below. Include the booking reference and a factual description, avoiding unnecessary sensitive information. We aim for a human response within two business days, Monday-Friday, Pacific time. An automatic acknowledgement confirms receipt only; it does not settle a dispute, approve a refund or change a booking.
You may seek any remedy available under applicable law, including a complaint to the relevant regulator or an available court or small-claims process. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, a waiver of a lawful jury right or a contractual shortening of a statutory claim period. A person may take urgent legal or safety action without waiting for support.
Applicable law, including mandatory protections in the place relevant to the transaction, governs where required. This document does not claim that incorporation in Idaho removes California or other applicable consumer and privacy protections.
17. Closing an account and changes to the service
Request account deletion in Settings or through the public deletion page. Identity confirmation and resolution of open bookings, payouts, refunds or disputes may be necessary. Required records may be retained for the reasons described in the Privacy Policy. Cancel an Apple or Google host subscription separately in the store that sold it.
Curbi may change features or restrict access for legitimate operational, safety or legal reasons. Where required, it will give notice and address affected paid commitments. A restriction or account closure does not erase an earned payout, a lawful refund or another accrued right.
18. Versions, notices and the rest of this agreement
The date above identifies this revision. Material changes will be brought to users' attention through an appropriate notice and renewed acceptance where required. New limitations are not declared retroactive merely by publishing this page, and historical transactions retain the terms and mandatory rights applicable when entered into.
If one provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to the extent it can lawfully operate. A failure to enforce a rule once is not a promise to waive it later. These Terms and the disclosed transaction conditions govern the relevant platform agreement, while a separate express agreement and mandatory law prevail where applicable. You cannot assign an account or another user's reservation without the necessary permission.
The English text is the primary version of these Terms. A translation is for accessibility; any priority rule remains subject to mandatory local requirements and must not remove a user's legally required language rights. Contact the operator below with questions before accepting a term you do not understand.
